Harish Lecamwasam M.D., M.Sc.

Harish has over a decade of leadership experience in academic and private practice medicine. He is a partner and Head of Innovation at Valley Anesthesiology Consultants (VAC) in Phoenix, AZ – one of the largest private Anesthesiology practices in the U.S with over 200 board certified physicians. As Head of Innovation, Harish is working to co-develop and pilot technologies that enhance care delivery in perioperative, critical care and pain medicine. Harish also served as a Manager and a member of the VAC Board of Directors, where his responsibilities included business development, management of operations and evaluation of strategic alliances. Harish is also a serial healthcare entrepreneur and is a mentor at the Arizona State University Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group. Previously, he worked as an attending physician in the Department of Anesthesia at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Harish is dual Board Certified in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was also chief resident. Harish received his M.D. from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology where he was appointed as an Oaklawn Scholar and a Merck Research Scholar. He received his B.Sc. & M.Sc. degrees from MIT where he was elected to the Tau Beta Pi, Pi Tau Sigma, and Sigma Xi national honor societies and received the Henry Ford II Scholar Award.
