Lean Practitioner Course

The foundation of Lean is about creating more value for your customers by eliminating wasteful activities in a process. The Lean Practitioner program is an on-site course taught by experts in the industry and includes a simulation to strengthen learnings. Upon completion; students will receive a Lean Practitioner certificate of completion.

Course Objectives:

  • Introduction to Lean concepts, methodology, and tools
  • A3 problem-solving
  • How to see, map, and remove waste in a process
  • Kaizen and Continuous Improvement
  • Workplace organization
  • Cellular design concepts
  • Learning to see the process through Gemba’s

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training provides participants with enhanced problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) model. These skills allow the Green Belt to regularly improve processes within their specific work area in the organization.

Taught by expert instructors with real-world experience, this course features interactive lectures, group exercises, process and tool simulations, individual exercises and the application of learning to a real improvement project in the workplace. Instructors provide support through mentoring and coaching, so participants can successfully pass their final exam and complete their project to gain Green Belt certificate.

Course Hours: 80

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Lead and execute process-level improvement projects using DMAIC.
  • Eliminate waste and defects by applying the principles of Lean Six Sigma.
  • Collect, analyze, and quantify data that enable process improvements.
  • Perform basic statistical analyses to determine the relationship between key inputs and process outputs.
  • Collect process data and develop process maps.
  • Apply problem-solving tools to an improvement project.
  • Effectively manage team dynamics and recognize how to work with leadership to ensure process gains are sustained.
  • Prepare and present project reports and presentations to instructors, peers, and management.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training provides participants with the skills and tools to identify and implement breakthrough improvements for bottom-line results and to support strategic objectives within any department of the organization using the DMAIC methodology. Expert instructors lead interactive lectures, group exercises, process and tool simulations, and individual exercises to transfer knowledge.

Participants will work on their coursework and workplace improvement project outside of classroom sessions. Each participant will have a Master Black Belt assigned who will provide mentoring and support for the projects.

Course Hours: 160

Course Objectives:

  • Eliminate waste and defects by applying lean and Six Sigma.
  • Define, scope and execute DMAIC projects.
  • Apply basic and more advanced statistical analyses to determine the relationship between key inputs and process outputs.
  • Reduce process variation.
  • Establish and define process capability.
  • Collect, analyze, and quantify data that enable process improvements.
  • Design, simulate and execute designed experiments that depict validated improvement.
  • Apply problem-solving tools to an improvement project.
  • Effectively manage team dynamics and understand how to work with multiple levels of leadership to remove barriers and achieve project success.
  • Learn how to plan and implement process control to hold project gains.
  • Close projects and hand over control to process owners.
